Bet you thought the transfers were over for a while? Well, not completely. Real Salt Lake have officially confirmed today that American 19-year-old striker Brooks Lennon will be leaving to temporarily link up with former side Real Salt Lake.
The forward has been playing, and impressing with his performances for Liverpool’s under 23 side this season, and he’s looking to progress a little further with this loan spell in his native land.
Lennon, who has just been called up to the US U-20 side, is going to be at the club until probably next year as MLS’ season is about to commence and will run until December for the sides that progress to the final.
The hope is that Lennon will see some quality time on the field against first team opposition. This is a great chance for the young player, and it will be sink or swim. If he fails to make it at Salt Lake, Liverpool won’t and shouldn’t have any qualms with letting him go altogether.
