Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is confident that his side will be up to the task when they take on high flying Tottenham Hotspur next weekend.
Klopp will face a difficult task in preparing his team for the encounter which will be difficult especially with his side having lost 2-0 on Saturday to struggling Hull City.
The loss extended Liverpool’s poor run in 2017 to one win in ten matches in all competitions and suggests that they will have to shift their focus towards ensuring that they win a place in the Champions League rather than winning the Premiership.
Klopp has admitted that his team has had a problem playing against so called smaller sides but he is confident that his team will provide a strong showing against Spurs.
Sporting Life report him as saying, “In a few days we have another opportunity to play football and we can show then that we are ready for all the other games, because it’s Tottenham, who are a top team in the league.”
Based on current form, Tottenham will definitely go into the match as favorites but as football is a very unpredictable game and if Liverpool get some luck on the day, anything could happen.
