Sources close to an ESPNFC Liverpool correspondent are reporting that Crystal Palace still have an interest in Liverpool’s wantaway center back Mahamadou Sakho. It is said that boss Sam Allardyce is eager to move for a defender to sure up his side defensively as it looks like Phil Jagielka will be staying put.
With that part of the carousel done, Palace have seemingly turned their attentions to landing the big fish. Sakho is going to cost them around £20 million, according to earlier reports, unless the Reds decide to offload him for a cheaper deal.
They may well have to do so as it is coming down to the wire now, and they will surely not want him staying around the side after the window has shut. Palace need help, and Sakho could be perfect for them. But it’s hard to see them doing this deal unless they bring about £15 million to the table to buy him outright.
