Report: Leeds and Newcastle both keen on African winger from Premier League

Leeds United and Newcastle are set to battle to sign Swansea star Modou Barrow. Though he has been a vital player for Swansea this season, it is understood that the club are willing to let him go should they receive a good offer.

Leeds United manager Gary Monk has demanded that his team make new signings particularly after their embarrassing 1-0 defeat by Sutton United in the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.

The Sun on Sunday have reported that Leeds are interested in the services of Barrow. It is likely that we can expect them to make some bids over the next two days as we draw closer to the transfer window deadline on Tuesday.

Newcastle United who are chasing promotion to the Premier League also want to add Barrow to their squad to boost their prospects. Other clubs said to be interested in the player include an unnamed Chinese club as well as Southampton and Aston Villa.
