It’s no secret that Liverpool are short on quality left backs.  And now, the Daily Mail is reporting that Liverpool are ready to make a move for Real Betis left Riza Durmisi.  Durmisi, a 23-year-old Denmark international, would be a shocking signing for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Since moving from Brondby in the summer for what was probably a negligible fee, the report states that the Reds would have to pay £17million to trigger his buyout clause.  According to transfermrkt, his market value is at just £2m.  This is a worrying sign if Liverpool make a move.

No, they don’t need to overspend on a player just because everyone knows their name.  But at this price here, they are going to be spending a lot for a player that has a lot of unknown qualities.

He’s only played 14 times so far this season, and just doesn’t seem like a good fit for Liverpool currently.  Don’t expect this move to happen as it’s doubtful he could improve the side.
