Liverpool Player Wants More Playing Time, Considers Future Move

Liverpool’s latest FA Cup hero, Lucas Leiva, has taken the time to speak with Sky Sports about his time at the club.  Lucas, according to Sky Sports, takes the time to state that if he remains at the club it will be “great.”

Lucas has been a long-time servant for Liverpool, dating back to the days of Rafa Benitez.  Since that time, Lucas has played a key role in many seasons, but has had a reduced role since Jurgen Klopp has come to Anfield.

He’s been deployed as makeshift center back at times, and he usually has done very well back there for the Reds.

Lucas goes on to admit that he may not be moving in this window, but that it does not rule out a future move for him as he cites his age and his future.  Lucas likely has just one more ‘big’ move in him.  This will likely be the one where he receives a substantial wage.

He said “Liverpool is a place I love, there is no doubt about that, but this is more about thinking about my future as well. Game time, things like this. I have to deal with it.”

Whatever Lucas decides, he deserves to make this decision.  No one has been as loyal a player as he has at the club, and he’d not be expected to stay.  With that said, everyone at the club would leave to see the Brazilian stick around a little longer.
