Liverpool star talks about prospective move to PSG

Liverpool attacker Adam Lallana has expressed his desire to stay at Anfield for as long as possible, saying he has never thought about leaving the 18-time English champions.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a £40m move to French champions Paris Saint-Germain in January, but the former Southampton player has been quick to play down the speculation.

“I love it here at the minute, especially since the manager has come in,” Lallana is quoted as saying by the Daily Express.

“We have each other’s trust and you don’t always get that at clubs. The thought of leaving Liverpool has never entered my mind.

“It’s a great compliment to be spoken of in the same breath as a club like PSG with those sorts of numbers.

“But I’m absolutely loving my football at the minute under this boss and I can only see myself being here for the long term.”

Lallana, who can play all across the attack, moved to Anfield two years ago and has since made 69 league appearances for the club.

He didn’t start his Anfield career in the best way under Brendan Rogers, but has improved massively since Klopp’s arrival.

He’s made 13 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool so far this season, scoring 3 goals and providing 5 assists – all of them in the Premier League.

Lallana is obviously an important player for Jürgen Klopp, but if Liverpool receive an offer of £40m for him, they’re unlikely to reject it as the player isn’t irreplaceable.
