As Daily Star reports, via Messaggero Sport, Liverpool is back on track to sign Polish player Piotr Zelinski.
Some reports earlier suggested that Liverpool was highly interested in signing the Polish international, but shortly after that, it seemed like their deal was going to fall through. However, it looks like Zielinski is once again close to joining the Reds. In fact, he is probably closer than ever.
Napoli and Roma are also interested in signing the 22-year-old player from Udinese, so Liverpool should hurry if they don’t want somebody else to take him.
During his loan spell at Empoli last season, he made 35 appearances and scored 5 goals, and it looks like this is good enough for Jürgen Klopp.
With the futures of Joe Allen and Lucas looking pretty foggy right now, maybe bringing in another fresh, young midfielder would be the best move for the Reds. Should they bring him, Zielinski would surely have a huge impact in Liverpool’s season.
