Liverpool have entered advanced talks with Paris Saint Germain over the signing of Lucas Digne – according to the Metro
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has moved on quickly in the transfer market to complete the signings of James Milner, Danny Ings and Adam Bogdan and the recruitment of all three players can be seen as an astute piece of business from the Northern Irishman.
Despite the plethora of signings already, one can be sure that Rodgers will remain proactive for the next 10 weeks as he looks to strengthen his squad and reinforcing the backline will be a priority for the Liverpool boss.
Liverpool are in need of a new full back and it has recently been claimed that in order to address this need, Rodgers has been eyeing a move for Paris Saint Germain youngster Lucas Digne.
Digne set for Liverpool move
Now in a further development to the story, it can be revealed by the Metro that Liverpool have ramped up their pursuit for Digne and are currently in advanced talks with PSG over the signing of the 21-year old.
Digne is a fully fledged French international but he struggled for regular first team football at the Parc des Princes last season, making only 14 league appearances.
As a result, it was widely reported that Digne would be leaving the French capital this summer and now a move to the Premier League with Liverpool looks very likely.
At just 21, Digne has amassed a lot of experience at the top level and he could well prove to be another very good signing for Liverpool.
