Picture: Strongest Possible Liverpool Lineup vs Bolton – Brazilian to weave more magic?

It was a triumphant return for Daniel Sturridge against West Ham. After coming on as a second half sub the striker was able to double the score for Liverpool with a great finish.

Brendan Rodgers is unlikely to start Sturridge in the rematch against Bolton Wanderers in the FA Cup. It will be interesting to see the lineup that the manager puts out with the Merseyside Derby coming after only three days of rest.

Goalkeeper

Simon Mignolet was up and down against West Ham but kept the goal clean which is always a major part of any victory.

He was not tested that much the last time the team played Bolton, however, he should expect them to be much more active since the opponents are playing at home.

Center Backs

Emre CanMartin Skrtel and Mamadou Sakho could be Rodgers’ choice for the back line once again since he will be expecting a much fiercer Bolton attack.

They have solidified the defense significantly and they also provide great passing from the back. All three should be able to deal with the strong but slow Bolton attack and keep Mignolet from dealing with many shots.

Right Midfield

Javier Manquillo may make another appearance after starting in the first match against the Wanderers.

He could not really get into the flow of the game and was eventually subbed off. He could still get the start during the week to cover for Lazar Markovic and should provide a much more focused effort

Center Midfield

Jordan Henderson was not at his best against the Hammers and he has looked rather tired the past few matches. If Henderson is rested, Rodgers could slot either Can or Steven Gerrard in.

Joe Allen did his best impression of Lucas with some powerful tackles in the middle of the field. He should return to the lineup and bring his usual blend of passing and energy.

Left Midfield

In his last start, Jose Enrique was active but ineffective in his time on the pitch. While Rodgers plays him more for his defensive ability, Enrique has shown before that he is perfectly capable of putting some very good crosses into the box when he gets the chance.

Forwards

The front line of Adam Lallana, Raheem Sterling, and Philippe Coutinho were all active against West Ham. Even though Lallana was not at his best, he still helped out everywhere on the pitch, providing tackles to break up the opponents attack while also taking the occasional shot at goal.

Sterling was magnificent, the opposing defenders were unable to deal with his speed and finishing ability which eventually led to him breaking the tie. Coutinho was arguably the Reds best player, he provided both assists for the goals with perfect passes that sliced the defense apart. All three should have significant momentum coming into the Bolton match and they should lead the way to a Liverpool victory.
