9. Santos: At the old Estadio Laguna, Santos had one of the most fierce fans in the whole league. Today they have a new top class stadium -the TSM- and while it is more organized than its predecessor, it is still a stadium that sells out and which aids the team to obtain good results. Santos is a popular team with many titles, however it is not considered as one of the ‘big four’ in Mexico. Regardless, the city of Torreon is loyal to its team and at the end of the day they have more sell-outs than the Big Four: America, Chivas, Cruz Azul, and Pumas.

10. Tigres: The Estadio Universitario of Monterrey is a fearsome stadium that is always on full; let it be Liga MX, Concachampions, or Copa Libertadores. Tigres is a team followed by people that are passionate about soccer who cheer on every play, and who pressure the opponent nonstop. Undeniably one of the best fans in Mexico, Tigres followers sing along with the ‘barras bravas’ (ultras) as if the stadium was one single unit. This makes it seem that the Estadio Universitario is in another country like Argentina, but the passion is no enormous in Monterrey, that even Argentinian teams would be proud to have fans like those of Tigres.

11. Toluca: The ‘Diablos Rojos’ are the most under-appreciated club in the Liga MX; with ten titles, they are tied with Club America as the 2nd team with most championships in Mexico. Yet, the media and fans throughout do not consider them to be one of the giants in Mexico. Nonetheless, these ten titles came in part due to the great atmosphere in the stands of the small, but powerful Estadio Nemezio Diez. The fans known as the ‘chorizeros’ are known for jumping throughout the whole 90 minutes without their shirts even with their beer bellies. Although small in number, Toluca fans are good, loyal, and without them, that team would have obtained as many victories as it has.

12. Xolos of Tijuana: Tijuana is the newest city in Mexico to have a first division soccer league. Xolos is a team that was founded in 2007, and since its beginnings it has had a devoted fanbase that fills its stadium regardless of the opponent or the position in the standings the team is in. After being promoted to the first division in 2011, the citizens of Tijuana and the surrounding region (which includes Southern California) have turned Xolo-fanatics. The stadium is always filled, and most of the tickets are sold out even before the season begins. The love from the fans towards the team has been felt by the Club Tijuana players as in the Apertura 2012 they were undefeated at home, and qualified to the playoffs on the top positions of the regular standings even after many other teams had more talented squads.
