Kickoff is at 9:00 PM Eastern, 8:00 PM Central, 7:00 PM Mountain and 6:00 PM Pacific. The match opens the Jornada 14 weekend, with Atlante hosting Atletico San Luis later on Friday and seven more matches across Saturday and Sunday.
Why This Match Matters
Necaxa have two wins, three draws and eight defeats from 13 matches, and their last victory came in the opening weeks of the tournament. Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat at Chivas de Guadalajara stretched the winless run to 11 matches under coach Juan Reynoso.
A win on Friday would move Necaxa to 12 points and keep their slim Liguilla hopes alive for another week. A defeat, or even a draw, would leave them needing a perfect finish and heavy help from other results.
FC Juarez are already eliminated. Their only win of the tournament was a 2-0 victory over Tigres UANL in Jornada 9, and they have gone four matches without a win since, most recently losing 1-0 at home to Atlante on Wednesday.
Juarez have scored eight goals, the fewest in the league, and conceded 32, the most. For a club that changed coaches midseason, the remaining matches are about pride and about building toward the Clausura 2027.
Players to Watch
Julián Carranza has been the bright spot of Necaxa’s season, scoring seven goals to sit near the top of the league scoring chart. He was left out of the starting lineup at Chivas de Guadalajara on Tuesday as Reynoso shuffled his side, so his role on Friday is the big selection question.
Óscar Estupiñán leads FC Juarez with six goals. He scored both goals in the win over Tigres UANL, and he also scored when Juarez drew 1-1 on their last visit to Estadio Victoria.
Head-to-Head
The clubs have met 18 times in the league, with Necaxa winning nine matches and Juarez winning three. The most recent meeting at Estadio Victoria finished 1-1, with Estupiñán on the scoresheet for the visitors.
Prediction
Prediction: Necaxa 2-1 FC Juarez. Necaxa’s need is greater, Carranza gives them the sharper finisher, and home advantage at Estadio Victoria should finally bring the long winless run to an end.
What Comes Next
FC Juarez return home in Jornada 15, hosting Queretaro on Friday, October 30. Necaxa are next in action on Sunday, November 1, when they visit Santos Laguna, before hosting Tijuana at Estadio Victoria on Friday, November 6.
