The official Liga MX website was hacked on Saturday night in the middle of Jornada 11 of the Apertura 2026, with visitors finding a “Hacked by STNXZ” message where scores and standings normally appear. RÉCORD reported the incident based on screenshots shared by fans. FutnSoccer checked the site repeatedly on Saturday night and confirmed it was unavailable for multiple hours before returning to normal. As of late Saturday, the league had not issued an official statement.
RÉCORD reported that the page of the Liga BBVA MX was the target of a presumed hack after supporters flagged the incident on the league’s official site, raising questions about the platform’s security and the scope of the intrusion. Screenshots shared by fans showed the “Hacked by STNXZ” message. The outlet noted the key questions still unanswered: what was changed on the site, whether the league will take an official position, and whether fan-facing services or data were affected.
FutnSoccer’s own checks traced the disruption across the night. The site served error pages and at one point returned no data at all before coming back online. By late Saturday night, ligamx.net was loading normally again, showing live scores from the J11 slate. The cause remains officially unexplained, with the league yet to say whether the incident was a genuine cyberattack or something else.
This is not the first time Liga MX’s digital platforms have been targeted. In January 2019, at the start of the Clausura 2019, the league’s official app suffered a cyberattack. The league acknowledged it publicly at the time, saying it would limit navigation in the app to keep an adequate service for users. The website itself was unaffected on that occasion.
The timing made Saturday’s incident particularly visible. Saturday night is peak traffic for ligamx.net, with supporters across Mexico and the United States checking scores as the J11 fixtures unfold. For many U.S.-based fans, the league’s official site is a primary free source for scores and standings, and its disappearance in the middle of a matchday was impossible to miss. An official Liga MX statement explaining what happened and whether any user data was affected would settle the open questions. FutnSoccer will update this article when it lands.
