Club America will mark its 110th anniversary in style. The Aguilas will wear a special commemorative jersey in Saturday’s Liga MX Apertura 2026 match against Monterrey at Estadio Banorte, just two days before the club officially turns 110 on October 12.
Liga MX has approved the uniform for one-time use and it is already registered with the league, so its debut in Jornada 11 is confirmed, according to Mediotiempo.
A retro look with three historic touches
Designed by Adidas, the anniversary shirt is cream, the color America wore in its earliest years, with navy blue trim on the round collar and sleeve cuffs. At the center sit two retro marks: the crest America used between 1917 and 1918 and the classic Adidas Originals trefoil. The back of the shirt reads “Club America 110 Años,” and the team will complete the seventies look with navy shorts and socks.
The design draws inspiration from the kit America wore in the 1970-71 season, the campaign in which the club won the first liguilla in Mexican soccer history. The shirt leaked in late September via Footy Headlines and was met with strong approval from supporters.
Part of a bigger celebration
The anniversary shirt is not the only nod to the milestone. The home kit America presented in July also carries commemorative details, including a 1916-2026 relief crest and the phrase “Grandes de Corazón” on the collar, and it will be worn through the Apertura 2026 and Clausura 2027 seasons.
The club is promoting Saturday’s match against Monterrey as part of its anniversary celebrations. Kickoff is scheduled for 9:10 PM Mexico Central (10:10 PM CT) at Estadio Banorte.
Price and availability
According to Nación Fútbol, Adidas is selling the anniversary edition from 1,999 pesos for the fan version up to 2,999 pesos for the player version, with a long-sleeve authentic edition priced at 3,199 pesos.
