The Mexico vs Jamaica Women’s Olympic Qualifier match will take place this Wednesday, January 29, 2020 (5:00 PM Pacific) at the H-E-B Park (USA).
Mexico will be looking to start off Group B play with a victory over Jamaica, in order to lock in one of the two qualifying spots. The other two group members are St Kitts & Nevis, and Canada.
The Mexican team will likely have to fight Canada for the first place spot, which is extremely important, as a first place finish will likely guarantee avoiding the USA in the knockout round.
Only two out of the eight teams in this tournament will qualify to this year’s Summer Olympics, thus, it is imperative that Mexico win Group B in order to avoid the USA squad in the semi-final match that decides who travels to Japan this Summer. A win over Jamaica is a must.
