Atlas has the advantage in this series as Los Rojinegros came away with a 2-1 win in the first-leg. Toluca must now try and bounce back at home, which is very doable as Los Escarlatas need to win by just one goal to send the series to a penalty shoot-out.

Atlas has the lead and it seems that manager Leandro Cufre is taking the Copa MX a bit more seriously than “Chepo” de la Torre. Cufre used several of his Liga MX starters in the first-leg like Ignacio Jeraldino, Jesus Isijara and Martin Nervo.
There was also a mix of alternate players in Cufre’s lineup with players like Javier Correa and Edson Rivera. Los Rojinegros have been struggling in league play with a win and two losses, but might prioritize the possibility of some silverware.
