Russia is currently second in Group I of the qualifiers, just three points behind Belgium in first place. Stanislav Cherchesov’s team is coming off a massive 9-0 win against San Marino and also had a dominant 4-0 win against Kazakhstan before that.

Cyprus is currently fourth in Group I with three points, but is not expected to be successful with Russia, Belgium and Scotland in the group. The islanders’ only win in the qualifiers was a 5-0 win against San Marino, but they have now suffered two consecutive losses.
Most of Cyprus’ squad plays domestically in a league that is not very competitive and the most intriguing player on the squad has to be Juventus’ midfielder Grigoris Kastanos.
