Chivas de Guadalajara is off to a nice start in this 2019 Clausura, currently in fifth place with 11 points. Los Tapatios are coming off an exciting 3-3 draw against Necaxa away from home, but are now winless in their last three games.
Alan Pulido scored in that game against Los Rayos and now leads the team with three goals scored this season. Ronaldo Cisneros also marked his second goal of the season in Aguascalientes and Chivas’ attack is shaping up nicely with Pulido, Cisneros, Alexis Vega and Isaac Brizuela. The defense has also been very solid as it had only allowed one goal, before allowing three against Necaxa last week.
Atlas has been one of the surprises in this tournament, currently in seventh place with 10 points, but is coming off a 2-1 loss to Puebla at home. Los Zorros made some big moves in the transfer window and players like Osvaldo Martinez and Jesus Isijara are really making an impact.
Isijara scored in that last game against Puebla and is off to an impressive start with three goals scored so far. The attack has been promising, but the defense can have its off days with the centre-back partnership of Omar Gonzalez and Anderson Santamaria.
Chivas vs Atlas Prediction
FutnSoccer predicts a 2-2 draw as this should prove to be a very exciting game and one of the best in Week 7 of the Liga MX Clausura 2019 due to the rivalry between both clubs. Both teams are in good form heading into this clash, but that would not matter anyway given the magnitude of the “Clasico Tapatio”.
