The Clausura 2019 game to be played at the Estadio Akron will be a great test for both Chivas and Xolos as both sides will look to begin the new season on a positive note considering the disastrous Apertura 2018 they had.

Oscar Pareja joined the border team this offseason after successfully managing FC Dallas for several years. He joins a side that struggled last season and which had a disastrous offense. To his misfortune, Xolos has only signed defender Diego Braghieri, while the offense has been left intact.
