One of the most anticipated games in Week 12 of the Liga MX 2018 Apertura will be the clash between Tigres UANL and Club America at the Estadio Universitario. Both teams are among the top title contenders this season and should provide a very intense and intriguing duel.
Miguel Herrera revealed his starting lineup for this match earlier in the week as he usually does before games. Club America’s starting XI is as follows: Agustin Marchesin, Paul Aguilar, Emanuel Aguilera, Bruno Valdez, Jorge Sanchez, Renato Ibarra, Guido Rodriguez, Mateus Uribe, Andres Ibarguen, Oribe Peralta, Roger Martinez.
There is only one change from the lineup that faced Chivas de Guadalajara in Week 11 and that is Andres Ibarguen stepping in for Cecilio Dominguez. Ibarguen scored Las Aguilas’ lone goal against Chivas and that is probably what convinced “Piojo” to start the Colombian winger.

The 4-4-2 formation seems to be what Herrera will go for and one of the key things to watch in this game will be the midfield battles between Guido Rodriguez and Guido Pizarro of Tigres. Los Azulcremas’ offense has been inconsistent lately, but will need to be very clinical in this game as there should not be an abundance of scoring chances against a team like Tigres.
