One of the best matchups in Week 8 of the Liga MX 2018 Apertura will be the clash between Chivas de Guadalajara and Pachuca. This should be a very intense and exciting game and both teams actually have a history of several players that have played for both teams, here are five players that have represented Los Rojiblancos and Los Tuzos.

Rodolfo Pizarro

Pizarro is a product of Pachuca’s youth academy as he had over 130 appearances with Los Tuzos from 2012-2016. However, he will be best remembered for his recent stint at Chivas from the Clausura 2017 to the Clausura 2018, where he helped the team win a Liga MX and a Copa MX title in the Clausura 2017. Pizarro was loved by the Chivas’ fanbase as several fans even resulted to protesting after he was dealt to Monterrey.

Cota is also a product of Pachuca’s youth academy and was also a vital player in Chivas’ Clausura 2017 championship run. The Mexican goalkeeper’s success with Guadalajara even earned him some callups to the Mexico national team. Cota’s time at Pachuca was not very memorable, but his mentor was former Colombian goalkeeper Miguel Calero, who has heavily influenced his career.

Victor Guzman

Guzman is a product of Chivas’ youth academy, but never played an official match for El Rebano Sagrado. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder has become a consistent starter for Pachuca and is now one of the team’s most crucial players in the attack.

Alberto “Venado” Medina

“Venado” is another product of Chivas’ youth academy that eventually played for Los Tuzos. Medina had over 300 appearances with 51 goals and a 2006 Apertura title in his time with Chivas, but only had a brief spell at Pachuca in 2012.

Adolfo “Bofo” Bautista

Bautista is a native of Hidalgo and had 20 appearances with the team from his home state in 2003 before arriving at Chivas in 2004. “Bofo” became an icon at Chivas as he was a key part to Los Rojiblancos’ 2006 Apertura championship.
