Tony Cottee has revealed that he thinks that Harry Kane could miss out on winning the Premier League golden boot award this season.
Despite the fact that Spurs failed to win the League title during the past two seasons, Kane has gone on to finish as the top-flights top scorer during the past two campaigns.
As it stands, the England national, who was Europe’s highest goal scorer for club in country in 2017 after having scored 56 goals, is leading the way in the race to win the golden boot.
After scoring against Arsenal during the weekend, Kane took his tally for the season to 23. Cottee however believes that Sergio Aguero could win the golden boot this season.
He said: “I think Harry Kane is going to go very close but if Aguero stays fit, playing in that Man City team, they’re going to make lots of chances.
“I don’t think Mo Salah will win the Golden Boot. He’s having a fantastic season scoring goals but I do think it’ll be between Kane and Aguero, possibly Aguero if he stays fit.”
