West Ham reportedly close to agreeing deal for Zabaleta replacement ahead of summer

As per ExWHUemployee, West Ham are closing in on a deal for Fulham right-back Ryan Fredericks ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old speed merchant has just few months left on his deal, and the Championship club’s Premier League status next season will likely play a huge role in determining his future.

The Hammers want a long-term replacement for the 33-year-old Pablo Zabaleta, and are hoping to seal a move for Fredericks with Sam Bryam failing to impress.

The former Tottenham starlet has been influential for the Cottagers since arriving, racking up 97 appearances till date.

Fredericks has weighed in 5 assists in 30 Championship games this term, and he attracted Premier League duo Stoke City and Swansea last month.

The Englishman is the definition of the modern-day attacking fullback, with his dribbling and passing abilities second to none in his position in the Championship.

Fredericks’ quality will do West Ham a lot of good, and that they can land him for nothing by June is a huge boost.
