West Ham reportedly favourites to sign 27-year-old midfielder

According to reports, West Ham could still go after Joe Allen during the summer transfer window.

The Hammers had a disappointing January transfer window. While they did manage to sign Jordan Hugill and Joao Mario, they missed out on Islam Slimani and Ibrahim Amadou.

Considering that they have been playing poorly this season, the Hammers are likely to do business during the summer and Allen could be one of the players that they target.

Ladbrokes have listed the player as having 6/4 odds of linking up with the Hammers. Allen is likely to leave the Potters if they end up being relegated to the Championship.

The 27-year-old Allen was one of the stars of the Welsh national teams successful Euro 2016 campaign and he has also gone on to make 187 Premier League games thus far.

He will certainly be a good signing if the Hammers do look to rebuild.
