The Daily Express have reported that Harry Kane has no intention of leaving Tottenham Hotspur anytime soon despite the strong interest of the Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid.
Some recent news has implied Florentino Perez is determined to bring the prolific striker to Santiago Bernabeu next summer to replace underperforming Karim Benzema.
However, it seems the 24-year-old hitman is looking to stay in London after scoring his 100th Premier League goal last weekend against Liverpool. The England international is hoping to reach 200 goals in the English top-flight, and for a player of his calibre, it should not be a problem.
“That has to be the aim – and hopefully I can get there quicker than I got to 100,” he said.
“It is nice and I am going to enjoy the moment, but let’s see how many I can get this year and go from there.”
The two time EPL top scorer is an instrumental part of the Spurs’ team, and Mauricio Pochettino would be more than pleased to keep him within the club for another season.
Kane’s words can only encourage Tottenham supporters, who desperately want their hero to remain at White Hart Lane for a long time.
