West Ham flop set to leave before the end of the transfer window

Joe Hart

According to reports, Joe Hart could be set to leave West Ham before the transfer window closes on Wednesday.

Hart arrived at the Hammers during the summer on a season long loan deal from Manchester City and there were high hopes surrounding him.

However he has struggled for form and was demoted as first choice keeper of the East London club in favour of Adrian following the arrival of David Moyes as manager in November.

Hart’s lack of game time combined with decent performances from Nick Pope, Jack Butland and Jordan Pickford now mean that his chances of making Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the 2018 world cup are now in jeopardy.

Newcastle United are on the lookout for a new experienced goalkeeper and could move for Hart before the transfer window closes on Wednesday. Hart’s chances of regular football will improve should he end up joining the Magpies.
