OFFICIAL: Aston Villa dream target joins Premier League side

According to The Independent, Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the loan signing of Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa.

The Argentine has been previously closely followed by Aston Villa after manager Steve Bruce labeled him as a prime target for the January transfer window.

The Lions have been chasing a new striker since the beginning of January following the injury of team’s best goalscorer Jonathan Kodjia, and unconvincing performances from Gabby Agbonlahor and Scott Hogan.

However, Villa officials have never managed to convince the Foxes to let their outcast move towards the Championship.

Due to the Financial Fair Play regulations, Villa can’t spend the money this winter, which only allows them to bring players on loan.

The 31-year-old attacker had been posied to leave King Power Stadium for some regular first-team football after falling out of favor under Claude Puel. Villa boss Steve Bruce planned to offer him an escape route, but he will now have to consider other options.
