Tottenham manager Pochettino makes big transfer admission

According to the Birmingham Mail, Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has opened the door for new arrivals by the end of the January transfer market, contrary to some recent reports that Spurs won’t make new signings before the summer.

The Spurs have had a satisfying first half of the season, residing in the fifth place, with every reason to hope for the Champions League promotion.

The Argentine manager has already expressed his ambition to boost the attacking ranks of his team, but only for a fair price. He is not willing to spend vast amounts of money, unlike some Premier League rivals, as he always looks for relatively cheap talents.

“Of course we have some options,” Pochettino said. “We are going in the last few days to see if we can add players that add good quality.

“If not then it won’t happen. But it’s about in the next few days to see if we have some possibilities with some players.”

Two Brazilian wingers, Paris Saint-Germain’s Lucas Moura and Bordeaux’s Malcom, have been stated as the most probable targets, with Lucas seems to be the favorite considering Malcom’s £45 million price-tag estimated too high for Pochettino and Tottenham.
