Rangers’ 26-year-old man reportedly set to leave Ibrox

The Scottish Daily Record have broadcasted the news from The Scottish Sun regarding the transfer of Rangers defender Danny Wilson to the MLS side Colorado Rapids.

Wilson’s contract with the Gers is set to expire at the end of the current campaign, but he seems determined to leave Ibrox already this January.

According to the reports, the former Liverpool man will undergo a medical before completing the transfer.

The 26-year-old defender has been showing some encouraging performances over the last six months, establishing himself as a regular first-team player. That’s why it is odd that he decided to leave the ranks of the Scottish giants so suddenly.

However, it is possible that Russell Martin’s arrival earlier this month could have forced the powerful centre-back to consider other proposals.

Graeme Murty has a couple of reliable options in defense, as it appears Bruno Alves will remain at Ibrox, and along with Russell Martin, he could hold Rangers’ backline this season.
