Leeds United reportedly keen on selling this player to fellow Championship side

According to a report published by Football Insider, Leeds United are considering sending goalkeeper Andy Lonergan to Sunderland should they receive someone else in return.

Lonergan has served mainly as second choice for the Whites this season and last played for the club during their 4-1 defeat at the hands of Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Sunderland have identified Lonergan as a candidate to solve their goalkeeping crisis this season.

The Whites meanwhile have been on a poor run of form recently and have not won any of their past five games which has seen them fall to tenth on the Championship standings.

They will be looking to make one or two signings before the end of the month so that they can boost their chances of winning a place in the promotion playoffs.

The Whites have been busy in the transfer market this month and have been making a few signings.

In addition to this, they are also not keen to sell their key players and have said that they will not listen to any offers for Pontus Janssen who has been linked with a move to the Premier League.
