Leeds United reportedly interested in signing Liverpool man

The Daily Express have broadcasted the news from the Yorkshire Evening Post regarding the potential interest from Championship side Leeds United in Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan.

According to the reports, Sunderland have made an approach for the Whites shot-stopper Andy Lonergan, which could open the door to a new goalie to arrive at Elland Road this January.

Leeds United are in no rush to sell the 34-year-old keeper. However, they might be looking to sign Bogdan in case Sunderland succeed in their pursuit.

The 30-year-old Bogdan had fallen out of favor at Anfield a long time ago, as both Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet and Danny Ward are all in preference to him. So, Bogdan could leave the Merseyside club to try to revive his career after a miserable last year.

Thomas Christiansen has full trust in Felix Wiedwald who arrived from Werder Bremen last summer, leaving limited space to Lonergan.

The former Preston North End goalie could request the transfer looking for some regular first-time action, which may trigger Leeds to go for Bogdan.
