According to the Daily Mail, West Ham will watch Dundee defender Jack Hendry in action on Wednesday.
Following his impressive performances, Hendry is reportedly attracting interest from the likes of Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Newcastle United, Celtic and Rangers while it now appears that the Hammers have also joined in the race.
The report added that Celtic have already had a £500,000 bid rejected as they have been hesitant to meet Dundee’s evaluation of £1.5 million.
Such a figure to most Premier League clubs is a bargain and it will certainly not be a problem for the West Ham board to fork out that kind of money.
However the Hammers are not short in the position which Hendry plays in and also have the likes of Declan Rice, Reece Burke and Reece Oxford to call upon.
Following his return to Scotland from Wigan Athletic last summer, Hendry has gone on to establish himself as one of the best players in Scotland and has played 27 times, scoring two goals in all competitions.
