According to Monday’s print edition of The Sun, Leeds United are interested in bringing Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bradley Dack to Elland Road before the end of the January transfer window.
The Peacocks boss Thomas Christiansen wants another creative number 10 in order to boost his side’s chances of making the playoffs, and has identified the 24-year-old as a top target.
Dack has scored 12 goals and assisted 5 others in 29 appearances for the League One side this term, and is also attracting the Championship trio of Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Cardiff City.
The Welsh outfit have already seen a £4million bid knocked back for the 2015/16 League One player of the season, meaning Leeds will have to table a much higher bid to have a chance.
Blackburn are pushing for a return to the Championship, and aren’t willing to let Dack leave midway through the campaign.
The midfielder’s keen eye for goal and invention in the final third would thrive in the division, and the Elland Road outfit would be securing a top quality player landing him, but it remains to be seen if they are willing to break the bank.
