According to Sun Journalist Alan Nixon, West Ham are interested in signing Lyon central midfielder Clement Grenier this month.
It is understood that the Hammers want to try and negotiate a pre-contract agreement with Grenier which would see him arrive at the London Stadium during the summer.
Grenier has fallen down the pecking order at Lyon this season and has gone on to make just two appearances in all competitions so it is very likely that he will soon end up leaving the club.
While West Ham could do with reinforcements this month, it would be best if they welcome Grenier during the summer.
He is currently not on the highest level of confidence having barely been used this season. He does however have quality as he has proven through his past performances and has scored 18 goals and supplied assists in 154 appearances for Lyon.
