According to popular West Ham source Claret and Hugh, Hammers manager David Moyes has denied that he or any member of the club’s boardroom staff tried to bring back Robert Snodgrass from his loan spell with Aston Villa this month.
There has been speculation doing the rounds in the media recently suggesting that Moyes was looking to bring back Snodgrass back to the London Stadium this month, but was put off when Villa demanded that they repay the £2 million loan fee.
Speaking on Saturday, Moyes was asked directly by a reporter if there is any truth to the rumours and he said:
“No, and if I did the first person on the phone would be Steve Bruce and Steve Round because I know them both really well. No I think that it is something which we’ve had a think about but under the rules he is with them and he’s doing very well for Aston Villa.”
