Rangers reportedly close to completing the signing of English prodigy

According to The Scottish Sun, West Bromwich Albion forward Tyler Roberts is close to signing the contract with Scottish giants Rangers for a reported fee of around 300,000.

Several Championship clubs and French heavyweights Olympique Marseille have shown pretensions toward the prosperous youngster, but Graeme Murty seems closest to his signature.

The 19-year-old prodigy is currently on a loan spell at League One’ side Walsall United till the end of January.

His stunning performances this season have drawn the attention from Graeme Murty, who is determined to bolster his squad ahead of the second half of the season.

On the other hand, the Premier League side wants to extend Roberts’ contract at all costs, as they are not willing to lose one of the most promising English talents.

However, Alan Pardew’s efforts at luring the youngster to prolong his stay at Hawthorns have been unsuccessful so far.

It seems Roberts prefers a move to Ibrox rather than staying with the Baggies, which could only facilitate this transfer.
