Leeds reportedly set to complete the signing of Championship outcast

According to the reputable Sky Sports, Leeds United are on the verge of completing the signing of Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Forshaw after defeating the competition from Cardiff City. The transfer fee is expected to be around £2 million.

Cardiff manager Neil Warnock decided to move for Liverpool’ youngster Marko Grujic, which opened the door for Thomas Christiansen to bring Forshaw.

Leeds needed some reinforcements in the midfield, as they are looking to fight for Premier League promotion.

On the other hand, the 26-year-old has had a nightmare first half of the season, as both Garry Monk and Tony Pulis had nailed him to the bench.

The former Brentford player’s departure from Riverside Stadium was anticipated since January transfer window started, as many Championship clubs have shown their interest in his services, including Aston Villa and Cardiff City. However, Thomas Christiansen seems to have won the race.

Forshaw will have to pass medicals before completing his move to Elland Road.
