West Ham reportedly eyeing ex-Barcelona man who “has a bit of Cristiano and Messi”

According to ExWHUemployee, West Ham are interested in bringing Middlesbrough winger Adama Traoré to the London Stadium this window as they look for an alternative to the injured Michail Antonio.

The England international is currently down with a groin injury that could sideline him for a long period, and manager David Moyes is preparing a backup plan.

Traore, a product of the famous Barcelona Academy – La Masia – has been on West Ham’s radar for a while, and with initial discussions reopened with Boro, a deal could be finally struck.

Traore is renowned for his blistering pace and physical strength – some of the features Antonio also brings to the table.

However, the end product of the 21-year-old leaves little to be desired, and that could be a source of concern for Moyes.

Former West Brom boss Tony Pulis recently took charge of Middlesbrough, and wouldn’t be keen to let the highly-talented Traore leave just when he is trying to find his feet at Riverside Stadium.

Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood once claimed the Spanish youngster has a bit of both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in him, and while he is light years away from becoming the next best thing, West Ham could provide the right platform for him to realize his full potential.
