As per The Sun, Chelsea are keen on West Ham striker Andy Carroll this current transfer window as manager Antonio Conte looks to improve his side’s fortunes following Alvaro Moratta’s struggles in front of goal.
However, while the links seem unbelievable, reliable Hammers source of exclusive news @ExWHUemployee claimed on the latest episode of the West Ham Way radio show that a deal could be on the cards.
Although Chelsea are yet to table a bid, it’s said that West Ham will only listen to offers for the 28-year-old if the Blues are willing to include Michy Batshuayi as part of any deal.
The Belgium international, 24, has been out of favour since arriving Stamford Bridge from Marseille in the summer of 2016, with the majority of his 48 appearances for Chelsea coming off the bench.
Nevertheless, Batshuayi has managed to return 16 goals within that period, and could prove to be a hit at West Ham.
Considering his tally of 33 goals in 78 matches during his time in the Ligue 1, the powerful striker has shown he’s capable of being prolific if given the chance.
Given Carroll’s drought this term, losing him won’t be a big blow if Batshuayi can rediscover his old form at the London Stadium.
