Leeds reportedly plotting move for the most prolific Englishman after Kane this term

Strengthening the forwardline remains top priority to Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen during the current transfer window, and reports claim the Yorkshire outfit are interested in Peterborough United striker Jack Marriott.

The £3million-rated Yorkshire-born 23-year-old has been in the form of his life this term, banging in 23 goals in 36 games – a return only bettered by Tottenham’s Harry Kane amongst the Englishmen playing across the 4 domestic leagues.

Hull City are also keen on Marriott, but a return home and to a side closer to the Premier League will be more tempting.

The Ex-Luton man, who bagged 28 goals in 54 starts before arriving League One in the summer transfer window, has a lot of pace to burn, and his quality could see him hit the ground running at Elland Road.

Marriott has been a constant source of goals for Peterborough this term, but if Leeds play their cards right, he could be providing the exact top service for them as they look to seal Premier League qualification come May.
