Leeds complete the signing of defender on four year deal

Leeds United have signed Laurens De Bock from Club Brugge on a four-and-a-half year deal.

The Whites have paid around £1.5 million for the services of De Bock and have worked to quickly push through his signing after losing Luke Ayling to injury for the rest of the season.

Ayling’sinjury  will see left-back Gaetano Berardi replace him on the right side of defence and De Bock could be set to make his debut against Ipswich on Saturday.

The 25-year-old De Bock was on the Whites transfer list for this month but the club was forced to speed things up after hearing about the injury which was sustained by Ayling.

During his time with Brugge, De Bock went on to win the Belgian top-flight title, the Belgian Cup as well as the Belgian Super Cup.

His arrival could signal the end of youngster Cameron Borthwick-Jackson’s time at the club.
