West Ham reportedly keen on £5million-rated 4-time League-winning midfielder

As per Sky Sports, West Ham are interested in bringing Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny to the London Stadium this month as manager David Moyes looks to strengthen his squad.

Securing Premier League safety come May remains top priority for the east Londoners, but quality recruitments are needed in the winter transfer window in order to boost their chances.

Elneny, 25, has fallen out of favour at north London this term, playing just 5 Premier League games as manager Arsene Wenger has preferred the pairing of Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey.

Despite having a year and half to go on his current contract, the former Basel star, with 4 Swiss Super League titles to his name, could be open to an exit this month, with his spot in Egypt’s starting XI ahead of Russia 2018 World Cup very much under threat.

Elneny’s key strength – passing – is presently missing in West Ham’s midfield, and he could be the much-needed link between defence and attack.

He cost Arsenal £5million 2 years ago and could be available for around that figure if he expresses willingness to move across town and link up with the Hammers.
