Tottenham star Son reveals the inspiration behind his wondergoal against West Ham

Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min has revealed that a half-time conversation with his team-mate Hugo Lloris was the inspiration behind his wonder-goal that earned Spurs a 1-1 draw with West Ham in the Premier League on Thursday.

The South Korean has been impressive for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season and has gone on to score 10 goals and provide three assists from 28 games in all competitions so far.

The Lilywhites though have been below par in the Premier League this season as compared to during the previous two seasons and they are currently in fifth position on the standings and three points adrift of fourth placed Liverpool.

The 25-year old revealed after his sides clash against the Hammers that he had a conversation with Lloris and goalkeeping coach Toni Jimenez during half-time.

He said: “At half-time Hugo and Toni (Jimenez, GK coach) said to me as West Ham are sitting so deep, try to hit a shot because it’s so difficult for a goalkeeper. I listened to them and just hit it. I’m happy to score, of course, but I’m really sad for one point.”
