Rangers’ 27-year-old star reportedly wanted by English side in January

As per the Scottish Sun, Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham is a subject of a January transfer interest from English Championship club Nottingham Forest.

The 27-year-old former England youth international is wanted by the side’s and one-time Light Blues manager Mark Warburton.

Forest are aiming to move up on the log and want to land a new shotstopper to rival first-choice Jordan Smith.

Having first identified his talents and brought him to Ibrox back in 2015, Warburton is keen on a reunion with Foderingham.

The Light Blues star could be tempted by the lure of playing in the English second-flight again having been part of the Crystal Palace squad that sought promotion back in 2011–12.

The exit of the former Swindon Town man midway through the campaign will be a huge blow for Rangers, as manager Graeme Murty will be forced to look for a replacement – something that was never planned for.

Foderingham has been a mainstay for the Light Blues since arriving from the English League One, playing all but 3 league games till date.

Jack Anwick is currently Rangers backup goalie, but it remains to be seen if he can be trusted to fill the shoes of the Nottingham January top target should a winter move go through.
