According to reports, Tottenham have been linked with the signature of Villarreal forward Cedric Bakambu.
The DR Congo international has been in great form this season and has managed to score 14 goals in 21 appearances. His performances have attracted the interest of many clubs in Europe.
It has now been reported that Spurs are in the hunt for the striker as they look for someone to help ease the burden on Harry Kane.
The Lilywhites did manage to sign Fernando Llorente during the summer transfer window, however the veteran has so far failed to hit the ground running and has struggled to provide adequate support to Kane.
Other teams that have been linked with the signature of Bakambu include West Ham, Newcastle and West Brom.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are however not expected to do a lot of business during the January transfer window so there is a strong chance that no move will go ahead.
