West Ham plotting a shock move to sign £25million-rated midfielder

According to a report published by popular West Ham source Claret and Hugh, West Ham could consider a move for Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin should they fail in their attempts to sign Bournemouth’s Harry Arter.

Hammers manager David Moyes has made signing a new midfielder a top priority during the January transfer window as he looks to help the club avoid relegation and he will reportedly have a budget of £20 million to play with.

It appears that Arter, who will cost around £15 million, is a priority target of the club.

Schneiderlin appears to have fallen out of favour with the Everton faithful following an unsavoury incident two months ago where he was dropped from the Toffees first team squad along with team-mate Kevin Mirallas due to an apparent lack of professionalism by then interim manager David Unsworth.

Toffees manager Sam Allardyce may allow Schneiderlin to leave in order to free up space within the squad.
