According to a report published by The Sunday Express, Tottenham are lining up January bids for Luke Shaw of Manchester United and Everton midfielder Ross Barkley.
Barkley’s contract with the Toffees will expire at the end of the season and as he has not renewed his current deal, Sam Allardyce’s club will have to try and sell in January or else they will risk losing him for free at the end of the season.
The 24-year old was close to joining Chelsea during the summer transfer window, but in the end a deal fell through.
Shaw meanwhile appears to be surplus to requirements at Manchester United and he has only been used sparingly by Jose Mourinho this season.
Though the England international has been impressive when called upon, it looks likely that he will be leaving the club.
Mourinho is said to be keen in order to help raise funds for a move for Fulham starlet Ryan Sessegnon.
