According to The Guardian, Manchester United are preparing a £25million January bid for Fulham left-back Ryan Sessegnon, putting Tottenham at the risk of missing out on their man.
The 17-year-old attacking-minded fullback has caught the eyes since announcing himself as a future star last season, and Spurs reckoned he could be their next “Gareth Bale”.
Sessegnon has been influential in attack for the Championship side from the back, weighing in 4 league goals and 2 assists thus far this term.
Tottenham have already seen a £20million offer including add-ons knocked back by Fulham for the teenage sensation who is also on the radar of Real Madrid.
With United now set to offer a better deal for both club and player, Sessegnon could be headed for the Theatre of Dreams in the coming days.
With the future of Danny Rose in north London in doubt, failing in the race for the signature of the England youth international could be a huge blow for Tottenham in their attempt to line up a long-term replacement for the 27-year-old.
