Scottish club Rangers have completed the signing on a permanent basis of left-back Declan John who has was also linked with a move to Leeds United.
John joined the Gers on a season long loan deal from Cardiff City during the summer transfer window.
As his deal with the Bluebirds is set to expire at the end of the season, it was reported that he could be sold during the January transfer window.
The Whites were linked with a move to sign John in order to solve their problems with the left-back position.
The Gers however moved fast to ensure that the 22-year old stays put in a deal that will see him remain with the Ibrox side till 2021.
Rice has made 14 appearances for Rangers so far this season, featuring at left-back in the place of captain Lee Wallace who has been hampered by injuries.
