Speaking ahead of his side’s game with Sheffield United on Saturday, James Chester revealed why he loves playing for Aston Villa.
Steve Bruce’s side currently occupy fifth position on the Championship standings and are ten points adrift of Cardiff City who are in second position on the standings.
They have certainly made improvements from last season and could realistically challenge for promotion via the play-offs.
Chester is a key player for the Villains first team and has managed to play in all of their 22 Championship games thus far.
Speaking ahead of his sides clash with Sheffield, the 28-year-old revealed that he is proud to play for his club and said: “We’re looking forward to this weekend. It’s always good to play at Villa Park. When the place is packed, they are great, great occasions.
“We, as players, love it. If you add the fact, we’re in the Christmas period – which always feels special – it should quite some occasion this weekend. If it’s packed-out, it would be wonderful.”
